Review: McKenzie Books

Through my membership with Business2Blogger, I was given an opportunity to review McKenzie Books' excellent used books website,

I am so happy to have found this website! It is easy to navigate and very well-organized. There is a side bar with alphabetically-listed basic categories (parenting & families, romance, literature & fiction, children's books, nonfiction, etc.), and once you choose a basic category, there are options to narrow it down even further - for example, if you choose children's books, you can then choose a subcategory based on age or subject. This makes it wonderfully simple to find exactly the type of book you're looking for.

If you're looking for a specific book, as opposed to just a particular category of book, MKZbooks has a terrific search feature, through which you can search for a particular title, author, or ISBN. Is missing the book you're looking for? No problem! That's where the greatest feature of all comes in. This website has an ingenious feature called the BRAIN (Books Recently Added Inventory Notice) service.

With BRAIN, you can add search terms based on title, author, ISBN, or even keyword; then, choose minimum book condition (from "acceptable" to "like new," or even "new"), how often you'd like to be notified (daily, weekly, or as it arrives), and how many results you'd like sent (up to 10, 20, or 30). When a book matching your criteria is added to the site, you will be notified via email. This is a terrific service for book collectors, students looking for textbooks, book clubs, or just anyone who is looking for a particular book to read! If that's you, I highly recommend checking out this terrific book notification service.

If I could make a few suggestions to McKenzie Books as to how to improve their website, I would suggest that they increase their selection (there are tons of books, but I did have trouble finding a number of titles), fine tune their search function (for example, it would be nice if "seven" and "7" came up with the same result), and add the option for customer reviews (I don't mind navigating my browser to to read these, but I doubt that's what McKenzie Books wants!). Even without these improvements, is still a fantastic used book website, but with them, it would be even better.

Since most books on are used (although there are also some new books), the prices are absolutely fabulous. I was able to snag eight books for just $25! Wow! I highly recommend this website.

Buy It!
Visit to discover thousands of new and used books, and use the BRAIN feature to find exactly what you're looking for. Many titles are available for as low as $1.99 and shipping is free on orders of $25 or more!

I was provided with a $25 gift certificate to in exchange for writing this review. I was not required to write a positive review. I was asked to include several exact keywords linked to specific websites. I was given the opportunity to review this product through my membership with Business2Blogger.
